This is a neighborhood store so its small but they carry a large variety of products, including BBQ grills! The staff is always kind and helpful; they also are very knowledgeable. This is why we keep coming back!

Vernon Village True Value is one of, if not the only business left that can be considered a good old fashioned customer service business. EVERYONE that works there has the customer first attitude. If you havent been there, you need to shop at VV True Value.

I would take your business elsewhere the manager Phil scoffed at me on the phone when I called to check on my window. I was told 3 to 5 day and he said naa, youre looking 4 weeks. They had my window for 5 days at point

Their employees could use more training. The cashiers arent friendly. As much as I like smaller local businesses I would rather go somewhere else. They never seem to have what Im looking for; on to Menards I go.

Very strong on customer service. There are usually people up front when you walk in that will help you find what you need which often saves a lot of time. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a good selection of items available for a small store. Love the convenience of having them close by.

This place is a slice of Americana. It truly is a small town hardware store in the midst of a big town. Dont let that moniker make you think that you cant find what you need there though. They have everything the big home stores have but the people here know where it is and will help you find it. You can get a window replaced here, rent equipment and their BBQ grill selection is pretty awesome.

The quality isnt the best, use to be a long time customer, but now Id rather shop at Walmart

These guys have awesome customer service. They know their products and can lay out the options and help you choose the one thats best for your project. In addition, they are cheerful and personable. They cost a bit more than Home Depot, but its totally worth it. Youre not left holding the bag when things go south.

SMALL ENGINE REPAIRGene is fantastic, he was able to fix a stuck needle valve on my snow blower. No more issues with gas on my garage floor. Any small engine work you need True Value is a great place to go. A competitor in town wanted to replace my carb and charge me 5x as much. Will always take my small engine repairs here...

Nice people to do business with. They always have the unusual bolt, screw or whatever the home handyman needs to complete his project. The cashiers are always friendly.

Good staff normally but today I wanted some vacuum line which in other stores is in public. I had a fragile plastic line in my hand to size it to and he insists on taking it from me to go in the back room he says he isnt supposed to take customers back there which is fair but I want to pick the hose that is correct for me and there were several. He takes me in the store room which is dimly lit and points to the area and leaves. with some difficulty i found what I wanted and he is nowhere to be seen. I took the whole roll out finished finding the bolts and I wanted to confirm the price with him he takes it from me confirms the price and says if you had let me help you you would of known that. What the heck is with that? I have been shopping there for years and this guy does that? The shift manager and another girl were very helpful I will continue to shop there but they need to give him some training.

I took a storm window in to have the glass replaced. The employees stated they could have it fixed that day. Due to time issues on my part, it was decided that I would pick it up that weekend. When arriving to pick it up a young employee found it and nothing had been done to the window. When I questioned it he asked my who had helped me. When I describe the man he then told me he was an old employee and I shouldnt trust his word. Really? So youre saying I am not to trust any employee that works at your business. I am beside myself and I dont think I will ever step foot in this store again... or refer anyone.

Their parts and service department are wonderful. They do a lot of warranty work for small engines such as lawn mowers and power washers. I take a lot of my equipment there to get repaired. If they dont carry a part they will order one in for you.

Staff is usually great, a couple of the guys have been rather gruff when my wife has gone in to pick things up for me. Overall they have what you need for simple projects or repairs.

Had my lawn mower repaired at the store. It was quick, all workers were friendly, and the price was good. A good experience.

The workers are overwhelming . Everytime i go here every employee on duty asks if i need help, everytime i do allow them to try to help they cant ever find what i need or claim they dont seem to carry what im looking for.. i usually continue to look for the items on my own and, Atleast 3 times i been there i found the items myself.. and things are extremely overpriced compared to any hardware store like that. The staff really needs to study store so they know what they carry there and where its located
