They have just about everything that is hard to find at other places. Because I am not familiar with the store I had to ask where a couple items were. With a great attitude they walked me to the item I was looking for.The store itself is not as brightly lit as most stores. There is not any chaotic shopper issues anywhere. Calm environment.

Will never spend another dime here.We tried to return a sink and faucet today with the original receipt.Were told by Jason that it would only be instore credit because it was beyond the 90 days or more return policy which is in tiny print at the bottom of the receipt.God forbid someone change their mind or have contractor issues post Derecho...Do not ever buy anything from this shady company..

I cant even begin to describe my experience at one of your store locations. I purchased thousands of $$$ in project material in the past month, only to find out there was an extreme drop in lumber prices. When I contacted customer service I was left on hold for 25 min, bounced between 4 different people, and hung up on. When I was finally able to speak to an assistant manager I was treated very disrespectfully and told they were unwilling to do anything. I explained that I am well within the 90 return policy and I could easily return a truck load of wood, making them have to scan them all back in and then repurchase all of it - but that would be a hassle all around and I would prefer to make it easier on everyone. I was told thats well within my rights but they were unwilling to match the price because of their 14 day (!) match policy. Then he told me How far back should I go?!? Any time? 90 days is the answer - thats your return policy. I am currently going through the same situation at Lowes because I bought wood there too and they are fixing the problem. I explained that to the manager and was told I am within my right to take my future business there. DONE and DONE. When you make it impossible for your customers and treat them with such disrespect, no one will want to give your their business. And your wood is sub-par at best - filled with splinters and knots. Sad.

Giving this store a pity 2 star because if you need the bare minimum they have it and you can get it. Not giving it anything past that because its 2021 and you should be able to order things online easily and have them shipped to the store for pickup without near the headache. Ordered a few closet organizers and had to make 4 trips to get the boxes. Got an email stating they were in, went to pick them up only to find out that only 2 of 5 boxes were in. Upon collecting the 2, was told that wed receive a call once the rest were in. A week goes by, and we call back after not hearing anything, theres a chance itll be in today. After not receiving a call, we go in the next day at 5:30 after work and the boxes are in, guess we just had to be psychic to know it. Save yourself the gas of driving there a dozen times and have someone ship it to your house for free. Also, dont trust the websites quantities, its a poorly educated guess at best to the true quantity of items in the store.

I have done two orders to be delivered to the store in the last week. The first order they misplaced the top of the toolbox. Spent over an hour waiting for them to figure it out. I had to come back the next day and wait another 30 mins to even get my order. I have currently been waiting for 45 mins and still waiting to just have my order brought to me from receiving. I guess just because my recent purchases were over $6G I would expect to be able to pick up my orders in a timely manner. Would highly not recommend shipping large items to the store.

Here is an idea, let’s not open until 7-7:30am. While all the other stores like Menards and Lowes are opening at 6am, we will have bankers hours. And good luck finding anyone in the store to help you or actually knows anything about building. The workers are doing the best they can, with limited resources. Management is completely rude and unhelpful, to busy doing paperwork to actually care about customers. Profits over people, the Trump way.

The people who work here actually stop, look you in the eye, and ask if you need anything or need help. This is amazing because other stores like this usually have the staff hiding, if you see one they do not even look at you, and sure as heck would never ask if you need help cause then they would have to help us. This was an AWESOME experience and as someone who is not home improvement friendly I felt welcome and not anxious. Also, if you look up your Item in advance their site actually tells you exactly where to find it, aisle and all.This place is wonderful and so nice to people. They have self-checkout also, so easy!

Went to Menards 1st, BIG MISTAKE!! Proceeded to Home Depot. What a difference in customer service!! Pro dept in particular, Ralph, was available, knowledgeable, prepared, and courteous! Ralph showed me the product I needed, cut the lumber to my specifications and loaded onto my cart! Ralph totally turned a bad experience into a great experience. Menards may want some customer service lessons from Home Depot and Ralph! BTW the associate who greeted me at the pro counter at Home Depot was also very friendly and helpful! They definitely have the things you need, and for that its a five star. After trying 2 different registers and not being able to check out the things you want to buy with a few different credit cards, I give it a 1 star. I even asked the clerk to manually enter my credit card numbers and he told me couldnt do that.So, I left without being able to buy what I needed. I went to Lowes and bought what I was looking for with no problems whatsoever.Get some IT people in and fix your credit card processing system. That would be helpful.

Excellent assistance returning online purchase at closing time on Thursday evening. Was so helpful retrieving my receipt and assisting even after it passed closing time. Very professional, knowledgeable with the computer system and even was able to assist me pulling up my account on my phone. Was accommodating and successful with my return transaction, the female customer service personal should be acknowledged for her ability to provide top service even after closing time and was very polite and understanding. The stock guys loaded items and hauled back off the store floor. Couldnt have been smoother. Thank you so much. I love the people you employee. They are genuinely helpful and knowledgeable. Your staff are most helpful in home maintenance projects. Theres an older gentleman that helped me with counter tops that was as excited as I was. He was very informative and assured me it was going to turn out and it did. I bought all my flooring that had to be special ordered and had planned the weekend to complete the project so walking around with the whole weekend to diy the kitchen floor became a bigger project. Adding more cupboards, counters, fixtures, refaced cupboards, all done and I am so pleased with the quality of materials and the encouragement to tackle the project. Thanks a lot. Your selections are great. Also my parents just bought new appliances, dad received a service discount and the installation resulted in a minor cosmetic blemish that wasnt a big deal on farmers black farm but they were accommodated fully replacing the unit and coming out again, no charge. To out in the middle of nowhereville. Excellent customer care! Very pleased with the genuine good service home depot provides. Id shop here before anywhere else. Sometimes a little more expensive than competitors but quality items and hopefully the employees are compensated for their higher quality of customer care. Its why I come back. Thank you for helping me maintainin my home as a single female. A rent a husband service would be nice so when Im exhausted at the end of the week and my garden swing has yet to be assembled, rather than spending the weekend assembling it, i could sit, relax, and enjoy it instead. Some of the nicest people around!! Always willing to help you out, all you have to do is ask. Hell, half the time you dont even need to ask, they just happen to be walking around doing something else and notice your needing help with something. Theyre very good at reading people. Came to buy all new patio furniture for our new house and we found a few prices we liked. They were not in stock at the store (Devon was so obliging and spent a fair bit of time checking). He suggested we go to customer service to order them for store pickup, so far so good.We got to customer service and Bri proceeded to argue that they could not order it. Then suggested that we should drive to Waterloo (an hour each way) for one of the sets. Then answered a phone call and had a conversation with the manager right there about the phone call all while ignoring us and not asking for help on our issue. 30 minutes wasted at customer service with no result and we walked away without spending a penny.

Natasia was outstanding. The blame is solely on the store. There is no type of communication saying you need an appointment in kitchen area and they definitely do not have enough staff on hand. The 14 day installation of kitchen countertops is a total scam. Thankfully, we were aware of it before we decided what to do after a 35 minute wait. I suggest big companies make sure they can deliver on promotions before rolling them out.

I purchased something online for my mom that was stolen. They refused to confirm which address the item was delivered to. They refused to give me a refund (~$30). Instead they insisted I challenge the charge through my bank. They didn’t even offer to send another of the item that never made it to my mom. Ive been a customer for over a decade and my mom has been a customer for most of my life. They could see how much we’ve spent at Hone Depot via our account. Home Depot should know that we wouldn’t try to “steal” $30. They were terrible and I refuse to purchase from a company that is so disconnected from its customer base. They really lost a customer over $30. They could learn a lot from Amazon.

Incompetent, untrained, and rude associates. Managers seem overwhelmed, confused and unable or unwilling to answer even basic questions. Ridgid tool lifetime guarantee not honored, (despite the fact that we registered them with Homedepot.com as instructed) instead insisting we have to pay for the repair of a tool with a burned out motor. The tool is hardly used and only six months old. Bad place, avoid if you can.

Ordered a washer for my mom and the lady said it was going to have dials and it was digital. Had issue right after they intalled it and was told they would call her and they never did. Called back they said to call Maytag. Called maytag and they sent a rude man out the first time and then the 2 guy helped but parts were on back order for 4 weeks. Then that part didnt work. Now my mom paid 1300 for this machine and now has spent 1400 at the laundry mat! Home depot said sorry we just sell the machine you have to deal with the manufacturer. Well we will and we will now deal with Menards or Lowes from now on!

I went there to buy a Troybuilt 30 inch riding mower. Theisens had them on sale in their spring flyer but were out of them. Home Depots web site they had 3 in stock. A young man who was helping me said they would match Theisens sale price. He took me to the service counter and the lady working there made him call Theisens and ask for a Model number and Serial number off of one their mowers. He called and they obviously said they dont have one so the lady said no price match. I had Theisens sale flyer in my hand and the mowers were 100% the same mower. Home Depots price match is worthless if that is how they operate.

In January of 2020, I hired Home Depot to remodel my kitchen. That job would include resurfacing my cabinets, a new countertop, new flooring and new appliances. Never in my mind did I expect it would be 8 months later before all my issues were resolved. For those of you thinking to hire Home Depot to do any home remodeling, think twice and read on. Their contractors/subcontractors are very incompetent. First the countertop came. The people that installed the countertop removed a piece of wood that allowed my dishwasher to be mounted on the side. When they removed that piece of wood, the front of my cabinet was no longer level and tilted towards the floor. I was told not to worry about it since when the cabinet resurfacer came, he would fix the problem. Next came the microwave and dishwasher being installed by the same crew. When they went to install the microwave they had to jerry rig themicrowave leaving two holes in the cabinet above my stove. Not only that, they left a big hole in the top of the microwave which over time the screw would have loosened causing the microwave to land on my stove. When they moved on to installing the dishwasher, they claimed that the dishwasher would not fit in the current opening, even though a dishwasher came out of that space. We re-measured the dimensions and according to all the measurements, the dishwasher should have fit. What the installers did not do was to lower the legs so that the dishwasher could slide under the countertop. Rather than doing that they told me I had to return the dishwasher and buy a different one. Since this was a Saturday, I asked if they could return the dishwasher to the store and I would discuss the matter with the store manager on Monday. They told me that the store did not have room to hold onto the dishwasher through the weekend. The only thing that I could do was to refuse it and then reorder another dishwasher. That would lead to a 6-week delay in reordering the same dishwasher that I had ordered originally. According to staff members at Home Depot, the dishwasher I had originally ordered should fit and they realized that their contractor did not know what they were doing. Next it came time to lay my herringbone laminate flooring. This took three tries of laying my floor and ripping it up after each time. Apparently, this style had to be laid differently than other laminate flooring. The floor supervisor told me that they neglected to read the manual that described how to lay this particular type of flooring. They felt that they could lay it just like they laid all the other laminate flooring styles. The issue that was occurring over and over again was that the planks kept popping up. After three different tries, the final decision was that across the country people were having problems with this type of flooring and the manufacturer of the flooring was now discontinuing it. So I had to go for a different style flooring and a different pattern which was less money than my original herringbone pattern. That meant that Home Depot now owed me money as well. Lynne Myers, who is their customer service person who oversees big projects like this, is horrible at returning phone calls and emails. It took me approximately 2 months of repeated phone calls and emails in order to get my refund of $200 which was the difference in flooring price.The only person who really did a good job was the person who resurfaced my cabinets. He was personable and actually went above and beyond his job. He needed to pay out of his own pocket to purchase the cabinet that the microwave people destroyed. Then he had to file a claim with Home Depot, in order to get his money back for that cabinet. I will never step foot in Home Depot again. Before having Home Depot do any of your remodeling work please think twice and do your research. The reason I originally went with Home Depot was because I felt that it would be one company doing everything and it would be a simple project. Instead, it was the biggest mistake I ever made.

Oftentimes store employees are ducking away so they dont have to answer questions, but thats not the case at this Home Depot. Everyone was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The Paint Dept employees were especially good and were able to answer all technical questions. All employees and most customers had masks which was appreciated. The store organization was excellent as well.

I do like that it is easy to find items with the location noted on the app. However, I made an order this morning of a sale item that showed it was in stock, but low and behold, there werent actually any in stock unless I wanted the floor model and to pay the new item price. No thanks. Very disappointed with this customer service. Addendum: there have been several sale items Ive looked at on line with Christmas sales and there has been very limited stock ie Im betting there wont be any left if I were to go there. Guess Home Depot will be my last option for home stores in town.

I purchased a Woods Timer from Home Depot several yrs ago but our electrician had forgot to leave the manual so we never could figure out how to set it for our outdoor Christmas lights. I called the store to see if I could receive one and they could not have been more helpful. The salesman I spoke with was really busy but took the time to send me a video on setting it up and even had the company send me the manual by email. Then to top it off a salesperson just called me this morning to be sure we had received all the info on how to set it up. Her name was Marilyn but I can’t remember the salesman’s name. Never again will Home Depot get any of my or my friends and family business. My parents bought appliances from them in November (fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave). They arrived with only the stove and told my parents that’s all that was on the truck. My parents had to drive back to Home Depot to find out that Home Depot canceled the order and my parents needed to reorder. In December, we ordered a custom bathroom vanity. Worked with Felicia who we thought was great. Waited 5 weeks and only the cabinets came in. Again, found out that Home Depot canceled the order and we needed to reorder. After reorder, they lost the countertop, the truck was diverted, and the truck broke down. Mid February is when we received our countertop and when we went to install, it didn’t fit. Called Home Depot and they said, “Well this is on you because you signed off on the design.” We asked for a 1 inch overhang on the left and a 3 inch filler on the right. When building the vanity design Felicia but an extra filler between one of the vanity’s. I told her we didn’t want that and she said “I am just going to throw one in there and you can pick and choose where it goes, if you don’t use it bring it back for a refund.” While on the phone with Felicia, she said I could cut the filler into 1” sections and place between all the cabinets. I expressed that it wouldn’t look right and we wouldn’t have any over hangs and the sink on the right would be against the wall. Well, nothing fit so after we got off the phone with Home Depot they said we could return it for a 20% restocking fee and reorder. I contacted corporate to have an open conversation about how this Home Depot is conducting business and all they tried to do is throw money at me to shut me up. Mrs. Sontal Ferrell-Jackson who is apart of the Executive escalation team, doesn’t care about you, she just wants you to rate her a five and give you money. Word of advice, if you do get to talk to Mrs. Sontal, don’t take her first offer because she will keep throwing $100 gift cards at you until you “accept” her offer. Terrible customer service, terrible customer interaction, terrible business to vendor communication, terrible experience. Go to Menards!

Usually the Home Depot is the first place I come for a garden center visit or for any other Home improvement need...before Menards which is down the street. After tonights last minute trip, I dont think Ill be back anytime soon. Attached are the pics of a clearance/defective item that we came in to purchase. Youll notice that the space to the right of the panels (which is empty now, because theyre loaded up in our cart) had the posts for said panels but not enough1. I see one item price tag with a label for panels but see no tag for the posts. Im an idiot because I assumed they were sold together - theres not much you can do having one without the other. So why the heck put them right next to each with ONE price tag?? Further, which was more surprising, is that the employees were rude, gave no explanation, and didnt even offer an apology for the omission. No discount offered and when leaving sure they reluctantly offered help loading but when we accepted the offer they sd they had to call their manager. My husband forgot tie-downs but instead of an employee offering for us to go grab some, I waited in lot with panels while my husband ran down the street to Menards to grab some FREE tie-down ropes.

WORST customer service! Spent over 2 hours ordering all new kitchen appliances and a washer and dryer while the employee continually stopped helping with or order to help others and answer the phone. He ended up ordering the WRONG dryer, delivery company took it with them said no problem HD would order the right one at the same price, go in to the store another 2 hours to find out Samsung no longer makes the dryer we need. Not 1 but 3 HD employees instruct us to buy a whole different set and they will return the washer...ok awesome! Here I am 3 weeks later and both Samsung and HD refuse to take the washer back or refund us our money AND their employee Nadia yelled at ME as if I did something wrong!!!! Still waiting over a week now to hear from the store manager and nothing! We spent over $7000 and they just lost the other $70k worth of renovations we are doing! NEVER AGAIN!

One of the big box stores that does a good job at what they do. The young man at the customer service desk was very helpful. We just had an online order to pick up but after I was looking for a specific light switch and he was able to locate it on the computer and find the exact location of it. Plywood seems a bit more expensive than other stores but plumbing is very reasonably priced.
