Nice store. Reasonably priced instruments. The sales person was pretty knowledgeable and very nice. Bought a Kala ukulele & hard case. Very pleased with my purchase so far.

Rating is based on one bad experience in this establishment. I arrived and was looking at starter bass yet they offered. I did not like the Amp that came with the set. I asked the gentleman that was helping if I could upgrade to a bigger bass and pay the difference, he explained he had to ask his manager. Another gentlemen came out who was nicely dressed and said he was the manager and he would allow me to exchange the bass for a upcharge. When I was ready to checkout another guy comes over rude and says he isnt gonna allow it. When I explained the manager said he would do it. This gentleman very rudely said he doesnt sign the paychecks I do. Now I have always lived by a couple major rules on being your only as good as your word. This establishment did not live by there word.

Nice little shop I say it this because it run locally not a nation wide I have to look into that kinda place.Much larger then appears from the out side!Had all the ECT.. I was looking for plus some things I didnt plan on seeing.Great bunch of folks running it.Ill be back and I live over and hour plus away.

I had a older accoustic guitar that was horrible to play. It need some attention. I was skeptical about dropping it off here. Boy Im glad I took a chance and let them set it up for me. Plays better then brand new! Great customer service and did a great job! What else could you ask for!

Ive been dealing with Johnny and Greg for longer than I care to admit because that makes me old LOL but seriously the prices are very competitive with a HomeTown feel unlike the box stores where youre just a number and nobody knows your name you meet Johnny once he treats you like a friend and Greg is the same way I suggest going there for any instruments or accessories needed as they will treat you fairly. thanks guys I appreciate all your help, God bless.

In July of 2019 Bought an ESP LTD EC-401 Olympic White, Hard Shell Guitar case, Digitech Drop Pedal Also bought Zakk Wylde EMG Signature pickup Set 85 81, Graphtech saddles for a Floyd Rose. Had their Guitar tech install them and set the action /intonation on my 2008 LTD Mirage 200FM Was extremely happy with the knowledgeable and friendly staff. They had a great selection of so much stuff. The shopping experience and service were well worth the 40-minute drive.

Poor communication, was sold a guitar that was not even in stock. Took several attempts to get a reply about the transaction. Waiting for refund for the nonexistent guitar.

I dont usually do reviews but when I do....Sound Exchange is the best music shop I have ever been to. All of the music shops I have frequented in multiple states and cities are great, but the staff and store here are beyond impressive. Besides the great and versatile selection, the staff is patient, funny, kind, and go above and beyond to help you with your specific and unique needs. Words cannot express how much this should be above 5 stars. There is a reason they have been around since 1989. They are the poster child for why you should support your local music shop!

This place was extremely helpful in locating a drum I havent been able to find ANYWHERE, not even on the manufacturer website. They located it within hours of receiving my email, called me personally, and made things happen to get it shipped out to me asap. Had noticed the store online. Have a vintage bass to sell. Thought Id check here. Really nice store set up. Kind of looks small from outside, but a really cool store. Gentleman behind the counter asked if he could help even though he was with a customer. Told him what I had and he let me know when the buyer was in store and gave me a card also. I’ve been renting from Sound Exchange for over 10 years. Everything from mixers, amps, and speakers to basses, guitars, lights, and fog blasters! They have it all. You can get anything from an instrument cable to a lighting truss. Even tables, chairs, and tents. Definitely recommend their rental department if you’re in the area. Fair prices too!

Ive known Johnny Gargano, the owner of this shop, since 1989. The old store was much smaller but they have always had a large selection of quality instruments. If you want guitar lessons this is the place to go whether youre a novice or advanced. I highly recommend this store. You wont find a friendlier or more knowledgeable staff anywhere.

Well its a nice looking store with lots of stuff. However I walked in looking to buy a guitar and no one said a word to me. I walked around then left. Felt invisible. Wont step foot in there again.

Sound Exchange on 14th street is more like a second home then a shop. Selection is great, anything from a simple Jamaican Drum to Guitars. Everything is always so clean and neat.
