This store was absolutely awesome. The customer service was A-1. I let them knew this while I was in the store but Im saying it again in the public eye. They helped me out tremendously with purchasing the mics I needed and I love the atmosphere the lighting it was alive in there and I will be going back. Keep up the great work guys!!!!!

I have been going to this location for 4 years. The staff is always friendly and its a fun atmosphere. I wish they had more higher end selection of guitars like the Hallandale store in S. FL., but I suppose thats due to the area and the probability of selling it.Mike the guitar tech is great 👍....he did a stellar job on my Gibson J45 and other things in the past. I recommend stopping by!

Believe it or not, my bro and I were on our way to a Judas Priest concert, but decided to go here instead. I tore up a really nice electronic drumset,played my first 8 string electric guitar. It was a great time

Dont waste your time try to sell them a Guitar or trade one. Qouted me $600 for a Guitar I sold to Gruhn Guitars in Nashville for $2500.

The store itself is great, they had the exact hard to find accessorie I had been looking for.The only negative was the clerk, while he seemed friendly enough his customer service was terrible. I couldnt even finish explaining what I was looking for and he cut me off as if he believed that he knew what I was going to say next. The problem was, that he didnt have a clue as to what I wanted. Even when my son found what I wanted the clerk kept talking. I was very annoyed and will not ask for his help again.

Guitar Center was exceptional! I initially had trouble ordering online and they helped through the process seamlessly.When I went to the store I was helped by Morgan who did a first rate job. I will definitely shop there again!!

The guys there are very helpful, and friendly. Best music store in Ocala. Inventory is flying off the shelves though. So if you need something you better go get it. Lol.

Staff not that friendly. Small store. Nashua NH store where I worked before moving down here was bigger and much more stuff in stock..COVID has made it hard for me to retain students so Im glad I get to go here and take the students from their list for my private studio at my moms house.

The customer service here is awful, these people barely know what theyre doing. I called about a product was told it was in stores but they only had the product in a bundle. So I payed for a product that wasnt there I was told they would do overnight shipping so it should be here today, now Im told it wont be here today itll be the next.Ill definitely go elsewhere now for my equipment.

Done dealing with this place.Selection and Service is terrible. Went in with my Band 3 weeks ago to buy an amp that would be loud enough to keep up with my drummer, and my drummer was looking to buy cymbals. Our vocalist was looking at wireless microphones. I brought my own guitar to test amps out, and they only had 1 that would fit what I needed. When I plugged in to test the amp, we were very rudely asked to stop playing because the employees were on the phone. How am I supposed to test an amp without turning it up to playing levels? My drummer tested a drum set in the store and was asked not to play the demo drum set. No problem, we promptly left and ordered $926 worth of gear from Sweetwater that evening. I hope whoever was on the phone purchased that amount of gear for them to turn away people with cash in hand.Today, called before I went to the Guitar Center store and was told they would price match an effect pedal, I then drive 40min just for them to tell me when I got to the store that they could not do it after all. Once again, no problem..I just ordered the same one on Musicians Friend, and they hooked me up with no questions, and even gave me a great deal on new cables (price matched and only $3 more for priority shipping). Our band spends a lot on music gear, and although this is our hometown music store, we now prefer ordering online. We will not be back to this Ocala location.The Only employee who I have been consistently impressed with when I have gone there has a black ponytail and is very friendly. I do wish I remembered his name, but he was always great.EDIT: Got a canned, generic response from the owner, the same generic response every other bad review on Google has received. Amazing how one of my complaints was about the customer service, and they still cant respond to a customer situation with a genuine response, just an automated one. Just another reason I wont return to Guitar Center in Ocala.

I went today to inquire about my EVH amp that i purchased having a Tube problem i believe. I have spend thousands of dollars at guitar centerOver the years. I have never been treated with such disrespect all I wanted was a referral to a proper technician a little help here $3200 head.The man will not pull out a box Tubes from the counter laughs and says Im going on break.. Im done.. The next time I need a hand I just call Sweetwater instead!!

Really great service from the customer service staff. Jacob is competent and takes his time to ensure that every customer is satisfied, even if it means a long wait time. I did wait for about 30 minutes before I received service, but Jacob goes above and beyond to offer great customer customer service and is very competent and knowledgeable with regard to his position. He helped me process returns for items that I could no longer use (all of which were purchased within the past 60 days and were accompanied by a receipt) instead of buying them back from me, which would have resulted in me getting less. The Gainesville Guitar Center is currently closed, but I am happy I drove to OCala to receive wonderful customer service.EDIT: I visited this location for a second time and once again experienced great customer service. The new guy from Connecticut (I think his name was Mike) is really helpful and friendly. Great experience.

Excellent service. It is the first store that we have visited that really has created a great protocol during COVID-19. Jacob was super amicable and answered all our questions without hesitation all the way to check out. Really happy with the visit.

Second time I have tried to sell an item I purchased at guitar center and they will not take it back. Managers have a stand off approach wont even come talk to the customer when issue arises OCALA do yourself a favor go to Gainesville or support your local store.

Guitar center employee tried to make me wear a mask while I was 20 from anyone, actually the soy boy in question was the only person within 10 feet of me or my wife. He told me it was corporate policy, I explained politely (at first) that I was not a corporate employee. He then told me that they would not accept my business without a mask. So I took my business to Parramore music in Ocala, it was a hassle free (and mask free) experience.Cancel corporations that have no respect for your personal freedom.

So I went there to purchase a new acoustic pickup. I was in the store for twenty minutes or so and not one employee bothered to even ask if I needed any help. Walked out and will never be back. To big for their britches.

They enforce some rediculous corporate mask policy. Unfortunately for them, I can buy anything they sell there at an online store. Enforcing this idiotic mask policy will make them lose business, hope they understand that simple fact.

They have lost my business for good. I went to buy a new guitar, had to wait outside due to their covid process, nobody ever came to check on me and I was left out in 100 degree weather for about a half hour without not one person coming to let me know that they even remembered I was there. I have spent decent money with them over the years and will no longer. You guys at the guitar center need to get your act together before you run off all customers. I spoke with a few of my neighbors and expressed how I was treated only to find that 2 of them had similar experiences and said the same thing that they will no longer shop here. Very bad procedures in place at the Guitar Center. Sad

I will never shop here again. Bad personal service. I even ordered something online and GC cancelled it a week later without any explanation. Youre way better off to go to a local music store. Sound Exchange is a great option. This place is just another big box store that doesnt know how to treat the customers they have.

Good selection of gear and slightly above average prices for it. Still, it is a physical location and you can try before you buy. To me, that makes up for the slight difference in price versus online only retailers. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable too and that is a bonus you cant get online. Neat place.. tons of choices.. this guitar center was a smaller version than the one I am used to.. some of the higher end gear was not in store.. so I learned that I will have to order them and pick them up later..This store also seems to service a large and very musical area.. some usual stock items are low.. so if you need 3 or 4 of something.. like amp tubes.. you may want to call in advance and have them set aside.. or order them for later pick up..Employees on the other hand are fabulous.. very good at helping you make wise choices.. we were lucky to have had Tim as our salesperson.. very happy to explain products and uses.. and happy to help carry out all the gear we bought..Great return policy if you find that the gear you bought is either too much or too little.. or you just want to try something else.. so hold onto those boxes for a bit until you are sure you are keeping the gear.. not that they tell you that.. but it does help them with restocking..We were very happy with our visit and our purchases.. and will definitely return for all our music gear needs..

We absolutely love Guitar Center! They price match. The people that work there are friendly and helpful. Ive never walked in and walked out with at least something. There have been times when Ive gone just to going to the guitar room and try out a few guitars. I will still leave with something!

Everybody is so knowledgeable and willing to help. They also recognize the few of us who really know what were talking about and give us the freedom and leeway to Roam and try things out as we please. Cameron and the rest of the staff are the best. I brought my computer in and theyve helped me install the software necessary to run the equipment I bought online from Guitar Center

Tried out a few guitars they had a very small selection compared to other guitar centers. I did find one that I was interested in and liked it after playing it only to find 2 dents that were pretty significant. I asked if the guy helping me would see if they offer a “scratch and dent” price and he said yes and went to go check with management. Comes back 15 min later after partially helping me and another shopper to tell me the manager said he would take $9 off... Paint is chipped off and it’s obvious the guitar has been on sales floor and demoed heavily for a while and he wants to offer $9 lol. I would be very surprised to see someone choose that over a brand new one for $9 more. Was expecting 35%-50% off given the condition and I would’ve taken it. If it was only the poor management decision with the price I wouldn’t care to review but it showed in multiple ways that the store was managed poorly. Just don’t expect a full guitar center experience if you decide to visit.

We just drove an hour from Clermont to buy a guitar and spent 30 mins on the phone with an employee. Never once were we told Masks are mandatory in the store. After being tested the day before and Negative . We were asked to leave because we would not wear a mask with a medical condition. America is being run into the ground with this #ScamdemicAbsolutely unacceptable and the Manager came out like he was ready to fight me over it! We left and will never set foot in another Guitar center.

Heads up everybody, this place will have you stand outside due to covid mania. I brought over a grand cash with me planning to take home a new guitar but was turned away, told to wait outside they have a 1 on 1 ratio and nobody ever came to check on me or let me know they knew I existed anymore. Unfortunately I will be doing business elsewhere. Just close the doors if your going to have people dealt with in this manner. Your crushing your own business and you lost me, think about it, your brick n mortar which I wanted to support but you leave me in the blazing sun, no communication and the rest of the area has already opened or I hop online in the comfort of my A/C and have it shipped to my door. You are forcing online business to thrive in an area that prefers to support brick and mortar. Wake up Guitar center and stop wasting peoples time when you have people like me who dont have much time. Again, your dealings with me today forced a sale elsewhere and overall as a customer I have purchased a decent amount from you all so I hope you dont run others off as you have myself as for customers are what helps you survive and pay your rent.

I hate to say never but I will never set foot in another Guitar Center. They make their customer stand outside in the heat even though they are all wearing masks and properly social distancing and they do not have products when you need them. I have been there twice now for two different items and was told both times they did not have them. Ocala and Gainesville.

Ive purchased a few instruments and countless accessories from this location. Staff is usually helpful and not pushy (which I love). The customer service manager, David, took care of me on my last visit. Got a guitar for my nephew and a keyboard for my son. He gave me a package deal, tossed in some accessories and extended warranties (usually say hell no to those), and sprinkled in some holiday savings. Walked out the door with more than what I came for and spent less than I planned to. Not too shabby ;)

Amazing service. I am a complete novice and the staff did an incredible job helping me out. While I could have purchased a guitar online, being able to speak with an expert beforehand was great! They even helped tune the guitar before I left and all for the same price if I had purchased online.

Went to guitar center to see about repair for an old guitar of my sons (Electric). The young woman at the counter sold me the parts for the repair and said it was easy to install and much cheaper than if their service technician were to fix it. The clerk actually took a picture of the guitar as it is a Martin Electric. I then asked if they had inexpensive hard sided cases or used ones for shipping. She checked with the manager and said if I checked their recycling bin I could take a box that was used to ship a guitar to them. They saved me a lot of money and gave great service. Super friendly.

For the past 4 years my twins have been in music, band, jazz band, guitar and marching band. I have had to shop many different places to find things until I stopped here (GC). I do not know much about playing music or instruments except that my kids love to play them and enjoy learning new ones. Every time I come into the store, weather for cords, tuners, strings, reeds, picks, drum sticks, guitar cases, all the way up to drum kits, acoustic, electric, bass guitars, amplifiers, launch keys, launch pads; the employees know Im going to have tons of questions about what ever purchase I am there to make (because I dont play) and they answer with smiles on their faces and give honest opinions about products (even close to closing).For the record, I never have left reviews for anything ever, but after last night I felt that 4 years worth of excellent sales and service needed to be recognized. I always have a great experience in this store with every salesperson. If you read below, here are some of the top reasons I only shop here.Zack - Thanks for tracking down the Launch Key 49 just before Christmas and the many times for staying and selling me cords, fixing a pickup or helping with anything the night before their concerts (its always something the night before). also for showing my son some pointers on his new Roland Electric Drum Kit.Cameron - Thanks for teaching me the get started method on how to use the launch pad and launch keys for the twins and showing me the differences in software and many other purchases.Hanna - Thanks for tuning and playing all the acoustic and electric/acoustic guitars you have so I can hear the differences to make the right choice for my kids purchases (7 in total).Jason - Thanks for helping my daughter in choosing a new bass guitar even if we could not choose one the first 2 times we where there.Victor - Thanks for all the answers to my questions and help with my purchases and especially you and Zack helping fix the problem on my sons drum kit (power supply) at 10 min till closing.

Bought my 6 year old her first guitar and I know nothing about guitars. Went three times with three different staff members and great experience each time. Very patient on my rookie questions and my Daughter got the perfect guitar and is now taking lessons. She loves it

Awesome place to go to, even if youre on your way to Orlando. I only discovered this store because I got a flat and needed repairs immediately. It ended up taking like 3 hours so I spent most of that time hanging out at this Guitar Center. It was very nice, smaller than the one Im used to in Nashville, but it was well put together. The staff here are awesome and will help you with anything you need. They arent like some locations where theyll pester you to buy things. They were really awesome here and Ill definitely be going back many times.

Visited store twice and the help was always at my disposable with a smile on their faces. Prices were very reasonable and the help very attentive. Store is set up in a way (departments) to find all the needs you may have. The selection was very impressive! Ill certainly come back for all my needs. There was a good mixture of used and new equipment, In my case drums and accessories available for sale. There was an excitement in the air by the employees that made me feel comfortable!
