Pedro saved us! My husband and I broke down on our way back home to Arizona after a weekend in San Diego. We broke down about 30 minutes east of El Cajon mid-day in August in 100 degree heat. We broke down on a Sunday and every mechanic in the area was closed but Pedro was the only one who actually answered his phone. Instead of saying he couldn’t help us, because it was a Sunday, he had his tow truck service come out and within an hour, we were being towed back to Pedro’s for repair. Although not usually open, Pedro opened his shop and greeted us warmly with about 4 other employees there to help repair our van. We were so grateful since we thought we would have to wait until the next morning until our van could be looked at to see what the problem was. Pedro and his guys looked at our van immediately and could see that we had damaged our radiator. Pedro called in for a new radiator and it arrived the next morning with our van being fixed just 3 hours later. We had to stay in a nearby hotel for the night and Pedro gave us the keys to his personal car and allowed us to use his car until he could fix our van. We couldn’t believe it! We assumed we would have to get an Uber or rent a car for the night but Pedro saved us that additional expense and it enabled us to drive around town. We even went out for a nice dinner. We drove our van back home to Arizona the next day through 118 degree heat in the desert and had no problems with our new radiator whatsoever! In fact, the air was even colder and more efficient than before! We were so grateful for Pedro for fixing our van so quickly but the excellent customer service didn’t end there though. When we arrived home later that same day in AZ, Pedro called us to see if we made it home safely. What mechanic does that? I’ve never experienced such efficient, high quality car repair service before and have never had a mechanic follow up to see how things were going! Pedro and his employees were wonderful and saved us from an expensive, long drawn out car repair and we are very thankful he answered his phone on that Sunday! Thank you Pedro!!

Sketchy. Based on previous strong Google reviews, I made an appointment without seeing the place first. The first person I encountered when I pulled up for my appointment had no idea what I was talking about and went off to find someone else. I waited 15 minutes, then a second person appeared and also had no idea what I was talking about, and said I needed to speak with Pedro, and he went off to find Pedro. 10 minutes later, the same guy comes back and says I have to call Pedro to speak to him.Theres no sign or storefront, just a yard filled with derelict cars in various states of disrepair. Theres no parking lot or place to park; you have to block part of the street to pull your car up. Theres no garage or structure of cover to have the car worked on; the workers work on the cars outside under pop-up canopies. Theres no lift. They use jacks and jackstands to get under any car to perform repairs. Theres no indication that any of the cars they are working on are actually going to have repairs completed any time soon. Theres no secure parking, if you need to leave your car to be worked on. Theres no indication that this operation has actually passed any sort of OSHA or Bureau of Automotive Repair inspection ever, nor that the mechanics are trained and certified in any way. After noting all these things in my head, I asked where my car was going to worked on, where it was going to be stored until it was worked on, and how it would be protected from theft and the elements. The answer: a shrug. I asked how long it would take for them to start working on it. The answer: You have to talk to Pedro. I was not won over by their professionalism or wasting of my time, and I left.If you actually value your car, probably best to find a different place to have it worked on. If you have a 1985 Ford Escort thats falling apart and you dont mind if it gets completely filthy from being outside while its worked on, and you dont care how long it may take, this may be your place.
