First time at this store. They have so many cool and unique items! From pops, plush, movies, shirts, games. Loved the store. And the employees were great aswell! Deff recommend stopping by here

Fell from the top, it used to be Specs, just a shadow of its former glory days. Now more like a used media store with fewer CDs and movies. I had to stop as it used to be my favorite store. I used to buy imports there, those days are gone and may never come back.

Nice place to shop, a little pricey on some items. They have some good stuff. But customer service is a little wack. We stood at the counter for a good 10 minutes before I went to go find an employee. The guy was working on a project he was nice, but said he didnt know where the other 2 employees were, cause they were supposed to be checking people out. While he was checking us out, one of the cashiers walks up there, and said he was in the back talking to the other employee, mind you there was 3 people in line behind me, 3 employees, and 2 registers. After that the employee walked back to the back. And left his coworker there to check out 4 people.

Glad this store is still around even though we dont usually buy music from there we do occasionally find an obscure DVD. Hope it lasts.

Always able to find something. The vinyl selection is decent. Lots of soundtracks. Many are damaged from other shoppers so look closely before purchasing.

Scam, fraud and potentially could be at risk of identity theft if you make a purchase here. Cashier Katie asked for my ID because I was making a purchase using a credit card (assumed this was to verify my name matched the name on my card). She took my license and instead, scanned it and created an account on the FYE VIP loyalty program, said that it was free. However, when reading the agreement (she told me to sign for the purchase by hitting agree then signing) it was actually asking me to agree to $11.99 a month subscription charges. When I hit no, she re-prompted the same thing. I hit no again. Then read prior to signing for the purchase. I called, and they did in fact have my info on file (even though at first they said I had to wait 3-5 business days for my account to appear in the hopes to have me forget). They refused to cancel my account.Dont go here. Do NOT give your license. Had to call my bank and now, theyre investigating and placing a stop payment on the company. Will have to check in a few more days, and then again in a month to ensure nothing was or will be charged. All for 2 posters and a candy bar, wonderful.

Even though it stinks from their floor being redone, there are good things, such as Japanese candy and anime stuff, as well as movies and comics items. I dont care about any of this stuff, but my daughter and nephew do, and they were happy!

Scam!! If they offer you the backstage pass, don’t do it!!! I wasn’t even offered this. They pressure you into giving them your information saying that it’s to get you a discount and the computer needs the information to complete the sale! It’s a huge scam!! You get one month free but after that you get charged $12 every month plus you get charged for magazines that you didn’t even know you asked for! I wasn’t informed at my time of purchase that they would keep charging my card that I paid with every month. It’s a pain in the butt to cancel it. Awful customer service! I had to yell at the woman on the phone to stop talking and just cancel the stupid subscription! Awful experience! Huge waste of times s money!!

Good deals on used CDs and DVDs but when you go to sell they give you pennies on the dollar. My only problem is a young and immature staff.

I love this F.Y.E! They have so many things that I want to purchase and such great deals! It would be great if they had more room on the floor though.

I personally think its a great store with variety of things for yourself, family and friends. Now it is lacking of good customer service. I understand its there job to offer there 10 percent membership but when they just scan it and add it to your account without asking thats when it gets bad. Ive also seen some employees not take no for a answer and get mean at the customer.

Like everyone else is saying this is a HUGE scam. They pressure you into giving you their information and say we just need it to give you a discount. I asked multiple times if it was completely free and was told yes. Turns out I’ve been being charged 12 dollars every month and they will not refund my money. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS! Do not shop here.

So enjoy looking for a good find and something eclectic. Headphones are popular item I like to look at, especially since I discovered Skull Candy here. Staff nice, friendly and helpful!

As others have said, they are running a complete scam. They ask for your email address in case of returns. Then without any mention or your permission they sign you up for a $12 month subscription that automatically charges your card every month. The subscription is very hard to cancel. I will never shop here again and will make sure family and friends know what they are doing here.

Helpful staff, lots of stuff in a wide variety. Reasonable prices but they sell a membership thing to go with and it starts charging after a few weeks for all kinds of things. Be careful about that.

This is a place that sells movies, music, gaming merchandise, and more. I enjoy this store because without it, the only other place to get this stuff would be overpriced online. Its a great shop that I recommend visiting.

I love shopping at the fye in the paddock mall!!! They always are so helpful and have such great savings! I also tried the free trial for the discount card and magazines and had no trouble understanding that I could go on a website and deactivate them before any charges since it was stated they are free for 30 days and 2 months. Anyone who thinks this is a scam merely got upset about not reading what they were signing for because I had a great experience!

Very surprised to find one of these near me, near where I used to live they got rid of a lot of them, this store is very clean and has tons of nerdy stuff like anime and Funko pops for anyone interested, like a whole wall of them. Posters, music, shows, movies, electronics its got it all. Kind of like hot topic without all the edginess and tomato juice vamp kids.

Did walk through. A lot of nice stuff. Big variety. Prices not bad.

A fun store. Also if you have to get a gift for that person that has everything, you may find it here, because they have unusual items.

Why does this place always smell bad? The carpets are filthy. The merchandise is overpriced. On the plus side, the staff is friendly. Unfortunately, that isnt enough to get me to spend any money there.

Very upset with this store. Before going out to this location I looked online to see if they had a show I wanted to buy when it told me they had 3 season IN STOCK I drove 30 mins to go purchase them when I got there they had none, and when asking the cashier if they possibly had them at the desk his response was yeah we probably just have them online the website is pretty decieving cannot believe I wasted an hours worth if gas on a wild goose chase!

The smell in this place is enough reason to avoid it. If youre looking for music theres not much to offer. Mostly TV show collectibles. Did I mention the SMELL? I really cant stress how bad the footy urine smell is enough. Its really bad. Like a hobos wet dog.

I was charged monthly for VIP membership at the price 11.99. This is wrong I did NOT approved this company. I believe the casheir thier automatically signed you up for membership without your knowledge. Buyer just be aware of this STORE.

Always love to come here, though Id not recommend signing up for the club as it does charge you without warning at the end of the month, but it does offer great features!

Fun place to go to (especially for otakus)

So many unique things I love it.

Never shop FYE Paddock Mall Ocala, Florida. Had two back to back bad experiences here. You buy a DVD get home and when you open the case no DVD was in the plastic case. Then a month later get a charge on your debit card re-occurring for a membership rewards program which you never signed up for or signed contract for. When a company charges your debit card for fees you never authorized its fraud. All the staff including the management at this store needs to be fired and jailed for fraud against consumers. I have called FYE and discussed this matter with Assistant Manager Austin on 1/3/2018 at 4:25p.m., and have filed a formal complaint with the BBB on this matter.

Strange musky smell. Ive been to several and they all smell like this. All had dilapidated carpet. Prices can be good if youre talking about just music or old movies. All the other merch is treated like its gilded. Employees are required to push special offers at checkout. Dont sign up for the free magazine offer at checkout. Free for like three months then that conveniently unmentioned autopay kicks in that you didnt realize you agreed to. Good to kill time or find novelty items. If you go there about ten times then you will have seen everything and will never need to go back.

Awful business practice pushing their backstage pass. The magazine subscription they sneak in on you costs a fortune. Usually shop here every year for the holidays, but I cant do it anymore.

I bought a doki doki Japan crate for my daughter for Christmas last week and there was an out of date calendar in the box tried to get a refund and the manager wouldnt let me i will never go there again.

Rude and invasive cashiers. Asked for my drivers license which I thought was for the rated R movie I was buying. Secretly used it sign me up for a free rewards card (11.99 a month) without asking me. Tried to trick me into buying magazine subscriptions by playing it off as normal part of the check out procedure. Asked for my phone number and email without specifying what they would be used for, when I asked the cashier wouldnt tell saying that the registrar needed it to continue the process. It comes of as shady and underhanded. A store that cant be trusted. Shame I used to love this place. Wont be buying stuff here again.

This place is HORRIBLE! It has gone down hill so much this past year, and honestly the way they treat people I hope they shut down. My wife and I were there and bought 2 tshirts, well when checking out the cashier PHILLIP kept pushing us to get a credit card followed by making reservations for upcoming movies and that if we did that we would be getting one of our shirts half off, then he said we could pick 3 magazines for free. My wife refused all of this 5+ times stating she just wanted to pay for the shirts, he continued badgering us by saying no your misunderstanding, and repeated everything all over to the point my wife felt pressured just to reserve movies and pick magazines so we could pay for our shirts and get out of there. If someone wants to pay 40 bucks for two shirts who cares!!! We werent looking for deals, and now not only are we frustrated and upset by how horrible the customer service was but now having to go through the hassle in calling this magazine partner of theirs who has our card information and in fine print it says after the first 2 months of free magazines, your account will be charged in two semiannual payments for 14 months...wait 14 months, meaning a year and the two supposed free magazines..interesting how that works huh...nothing is ever FREE! I cant emphasize how horrible, rude, pushy, negative, poor managed and down right degrading that place is and the people who work there. I will urge EVERYONE I know to skip over this place and let them fail, close down and become a thing of the past. Never in my life have I got into an argument over paying for tshirts. I should have just walked out. Save yourself the hassle, and dont waste your money on these scum bags!!!!!!! SOOOO ANGRY!!!!

I love mob movies, so my son bought me the Godfather 4 disc set in the box for my birthday. It is marked used but also marked 100% guaranteed. Before the purchase my son asked TWICE if it was a complete set. He was told yes. He purchased the box set then opened it in the store and found that disc 1 was missing. Since it was now open he could not return it. The salesman the sold my son disc 1 for an additionsl charge. Because today is my birthday my son made the additional. I feel he paid for disc 1 when he purchased the set and should not have been charged for the extra disc. Caveat emptor! My daughter loves this store too for the Super Natural and Dr Who memorabilia. After today I will be driving her to Hot Topic at the Gaiinesville Mall. At least we will know we will get what we paid for the FIRST time. Also posting this to friends and family on Facebook who have teenage children who would also fall for this! Not cool..............o

Its an OK location. Most of this FYEs store is filled with shirts and anime. Then, wayyy in the back you find one small isle of CDs and a row or two of movies and TV shows. Ive seen other FYEs where its nearly all music accessories
