Star Tires Plus Wheels is by far the best car maintenance shop I’ve visited here in CT. They are very professional and fast with their work. Liam was super helpful and understanding of my situation. I bought the whole package tires and wheels. I notice some scratch that were noticeable on my wheels . I brought it up to their attention, and they stated to touch it up with some paint. they also stated that the car wash had some thing to do with it. I find it hard to believe. My advice if buying from star tires plus wheels make sure you take a good look on your wheels and tires before leaving the place. To redefine all the wheels will cost you 200 each, so I wasnt happy about that. How can you touch it up with some paint? it is not going to look the same.

I typically go to town fair tire for my winter and summer tires and have to make an appointment. Here, was able to walk in, get a quote, which was thorough and includes everything but the balance which was reasonable. I was in and out in less than 1.5 hours. Sales people are Also very pleasant . Went to star tires for 4 new tires, for it to be a very busy day, I was in and out faster than I thought I’d be . Tire tech noticed an issue with one of my tire sensors after getting wheels on . They check the readings a number of times replaced one sensor free of charge, but unfortunately sometimes when you replace one it negatively affect some or all. Star tires called me the next day for me to come back in and replaced all 4 again free of charge, longer story shorter is that I got nice deal on tires and their customer service is above and beyond . It’s definitely my tire and rims spot .

William J Reyes is hands down the best tire guy Ive ever met and he went above and beyond making sure all my needs were met. I came in for a simple tire problem and William and Brian both provided excellent service and ensured that my vehicle would have a permanent fix instead of a temporary one. I was hesitant to stop in here after hearing negative feedback back when I was younger (20+) years ago. I did some quick research and it seemed people had been having good experiences lately. I was in a bind, as I had popped my front tire on Christmas Day, and was riding on a donut. My car is a 4X4, and based on the last storm I already knew I would be needing full replacements. However I was planning to do more research before pulling the trigger on that. I saw that they sold used tires and my plan at first was to do a quick and cheap replacement. When I spoke to one of the reps, they said it could be done, but also provided me with a quote for 4 brand new ones. I looked at what the quoted tire model was selling for in other places and considering they include a full alignment, it was a fair price. They also offer interest free financing that allows you to pay the balance over a 100 day period with a minimum of $10.00 down. They were very patient with my questions about the program in regards to there being some sort of “catch”, but it is legit. Since I was kind of tapped from holiday shopping, it was nice to know I could keep some breathing room in my bank account. It was already busy, and they closed at 4:00pm on that Saturday, but they stayed late to finish the job. Overall, it was a great experience as far as replacing tires goes. I definitely recommend.

Beware!!! I went in to have my stock wheels replaced with some aftermarket wheels that I supplied. They were going to charge me $400 for the service, to which I agreed. Then they wanted me to sign a waiver absolving them of any liability if they damaged the wheels during installation. How do you operate a business charging customers for a service that you want to have no responsibility for!?!? Absolutely ridiculous!

Made a friend of mine wait all day from open to dam near closing ended up messing his car up in a way not related to what he was there for and he had to leave without it and come back for it the next day. Thankfully there was an employee that was willing to go out of there way to offer a lift to pick up the car cause they werent willing to do a favor out of convenience for the major inconvenience to him. I hvnt taken my vehicle here and it appears i wont if they mess up and the custemor pays for it no thanks.

I came here to learn more about tires and which ones would be good for my car and I felt like i was being taken advantage of, I spoke to a guy named john who was nice and then willy helped me and was being so fast and a little rude, I felt like he was urging me to give a good review before he even helped me. as a lady I felt weird and I shouldve had my boyfriend with me. not a great tire shop for women or to really learn.

I went there last week for some tires and an alignment and my friend also went but we didn’t go together. I was charged $20 more per tire than my friend. For the same exact tires. When I brought it up to the guy I was dealing with he started telling me about terrorist activities and that was the reason for the price. I was looking at him like stop please. Eventually I guess it was the manager refunded me my money but I will never go there again and me and my friend wanted to get some rims from them. We’ll find somewhere else to go. Never again

Great service, the staff here really takes care of you. I’m not hugely knowledgeable about tires or cars in general, and these guys take the time to explain all possible scenarios of what could be wrong. I got all my tires replaced, had a slow leak, came in again, and they swiftly took care of it with a significantly reduced price. I’m only getting my tires and wheels taken care of here and no place else. My mother also uses them exclusively, and has had nothing but great service from them for years. Willie J is amazing and very friendly!

So far so good, I’ve been having problems withmy purchases working on my vehicle, but they’ve been working with me. I’m sure with there professional attitude we will work it out.I’ve been a customer for a long time and need 2 more vehicles outfitted with rims and tires. Terrible workers there.... Now the 2 back tires have bad air pressure sensors... They messed em up putting on the tires to the rim and let me leave with it.... Now I have to go back there to get it redone..... Thumbs down for sure but all the other stuff was ok.....

I stopped in for the first time last week, cant remember the last time, that I actually had to shopped for tires.Working in Auto Sales, I would usually just tell the Dealerships Service Manager, what I needed and I was good.I was eventually greeted by one of the employees name (John) who was very nice as well as resourceful in answering all of my questions.I explained to (John) that my Baby needed some SHUSE but I needed to stay within a certain budget (Yeah My Oh My Have Times Changed)But he understood exactly what I was saying and he assure me that my experience would be great.Well I cant express enough how EVERYONE who worked there treated me as though I was their (Father, Brother, Uncle or friend) and it was because of that (That) I will tell anyone who is looking for TIRES, WHEELS or just a GREAT DEAL then dont go anywhere else except STAR TIRES and ask for (JOHN and tell him) that your KAR NEEDS SHUSES

I sat here from 9:30 until about 2:30 in the afternoon after making an appointment for breaks and rotors to get done (using the snap program), upon waiting in told i also need a flush okay? Sounds simple so you would think but it doesn’t take 6 hours for breaks and rotors no communication from staff about update to vehicle, no offer on if I wanted to wait for my car because the duration of time it’d take to complete just extremely unhappy with lack of service, customer service and communication!

A fantastic service experience! Walked in on the off chance to inquire about some tires+wheels and walked out with a full set plus caliper paint job! I assumed, wheels would have needed to be ordered and scheduled, but the amazing staff was actually able to take care of me and my vehicle top to bottom! All in all, a fantastic deal, for a fantastic job! Very satisfied with the professionalism and my purchase! I also felt very safe shopping and completing business at this location during this pandemic!

Called the day before, issue with tire balance. They told me to bring it in next day, I did. They spent 20 seconds looking at my car and told me they wouldnt help me unless I bought new tires rims and lug nuts, stating they were in bad shape. I told them I was on a tight budget due to the virus and they told me they wouldnt even check them for me. There is plenty of tread left on these tires. Went down the street a block to Hartford Tire and they took care of me for $25. Problem solved. No more wobbling.
